Let me introduce myself! I'm happily married to my husband, Bradley, and we just celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary. Time really flies by! We're blessed with a spunky 5-year-old daughter named Zoe, who happens to share my personality. Sometimes, it's hard to tell if that's a good or bad thing, but let's lean toward the positive side for now.
Beyond my life at Kind and Brave Designs, I work full-time as a senior director at a day camp. My favorite pastimes include playing board games, indulging in hand lettering and graphic design, taking Skill Share courses, and going on warm vacation, because, to me, a vacation isn't really a vacation if I need to bring a jacket!
So, how did Kind and Brave Designs come to be? Well, I have COVID to thank for that, probably the only good thing to come out of it, right? During the quarantine, I had the chance to spend quality time with my family while working from home, and it gave me the opportunity to explore a new hobby.
I've always had a creative streak, but I never really put it to use outside of my professional life. Over the past decade, I've dedicated countless hours to work, and with the addition of a husband and baby, I often neglected making time for myself. However, thanks to COVID, all of that changed. I asked for an iPad for my birthday, downloaded the Procreate app, and started my creative journey from there. I initially focused on designing stickers for water bottles, and I've been completely hooked ever since.
Here I am, two years into my creative adventure, and I now have a business Instagram page, a growing group of followers (yay!), an Etsy Shop, and I'm even selling my creations at local craft fairs and festivals. I'm thrilled that you're here, reading this. I hope you'll continue this journey with me. Hold on tight; it's going to be quite the adventure!
